Competition
Competition is when two of the same organism is trying to obtain the same resource, which may only exist in limited amounts. Competition between members of the same species.

Predation
When one organism kills and eats another, the attacker is called the predator and the one being eaten is the prey.
< The fox is preying on a possum. The fox is the predator and the possum is the prey.

Mutualism
This is where two organisms live closely together and both benefit. Both organisms both depend upon each other. Example- A cleaner shrimp eats parasites on the skin of the fish. Both the cleaner shrimp and fish it cleans, both benefit.
Another Example- Is Pollination. Many plants depend on animals like the bee to pollinate them. Pollination is the transport of pollen to the flower. Many flowering pants adapted to use particular animals for pollination and without them plants wouldn't be able to reproduce and eventual die out.

Parasitism
This is where one organism lives on or in another organism and feeds off it. The parasite cannot survive without the organism which lives. The parasite normally harms the host but rarely kills it.
< The caterpillar is the host and the parasitic wasp parasites are eating the caterpillar.

Commensalism
This is a relationship where one organism benefits and the other is unaffected by it.
< Example- The birds will pick the bugs off the cow and the cow is unaffected by it. The bird or the cow is affected by it.
